Modalix DevKit Interface Support

This page lists the interfaces of the Modalix DevKit. For each one, it shows the connector on the board, the Modalix SoM signals behind it, and what the device tree of platform release 2.1.3 does with it. The DevKit is a Modalix SoM on the Waveshare carrier board, so the table applies to that combination only.

Not yet validated on hardware

This page is written from the kernel source for platform release 2.1.3 and from the other pages of this site. No row has a recorded hardware test yet.

Interfaces

The table covers the serial console, Gigabit Ethernet, USB, HDMI, NVMe storage, MIPI CSI-2 cameras, I2C, GPIO, SPI, I2S audio, Bluetooth, eMMC, the real-time clock, and CAN. The name of an interface links to its guide, where there is one.

How to Read the Status

  • Supported: the release provides the interface on this board. Either the SoM device tree enables it, or the part is on the SoM and needs no setup.
  • Needs an overlay: the hardware is there, but the release device tree does not enable it. Add a device-tree overlay, as described in Device Trees and Overlays.
  • Not supported: the interface does not work with the Modalix SoM.
  • Not confirmed: this page has no information.

Other Boards

The SoM signals are the same on every carrier board. The connectors and the overlays differ. For another carrier board, start from Third-Party Carrier Boards and Carrier Board Bring-up.
